Island of The Blue Dolphins was probably an overall rating of 4.5/10. (Just below the "okay" mark) Our group thought this because, the book jumped around and we found ourselves confused. We also found that they discribed a little bit too much, and if theres too long of a discription, the reader may get bored. Our group thought that the book kind of just dragged on. The same stuff happend over and over, we got bored of reading the same things. But as the book got to the end, it got a little bit better. More exciting things happend, like the people came to save her. I guess thats where the .5 comes from. We would have gave this book a better rating if it wasn't so repetitive, or if it didnt jump around so much. All the describing kind of made me not infer what things looked like. When I read, I like to paint my own picture in my mind. Our group found the part when the brother thought the sail boat was a read conoe, was really funny. But for the rest of the book, it was very boring, it was not humouris at all at most points but there was like 1 funny part in the entire book.
